Dr Manyal pays surprise visit to JLNM Hospital

SRINAGAR, MAY 27: Minister for Health & Medical Education, Dr Davinder Kumar Manyal today paid a surprise inspection visit to JLNM Hospital, Rainawari. The surprise check was conducted to review the healthcare facilities being provided at the hospital.

The Minister inspected various sections of the hospital & interacted with OPD & IPD patients and their attendants. He took keen interest in the functioning and health care delivery of casualty & gynecology section of the hospital.

He sought from the patients whether the services provided by the government are being given to them as per the laid norms. The Minister while taking stock of the status of dialysis centre at JLNM, emphasized the Hospital Administration for its speedy completion. He further said that the aim of the government is to provide hassle-free treatment facilities to the patients in the Government health institutions. He also directed the medicos and paramedics to remain present in the hospital as per duty roaster and provide round the clock healthcare facilities to the people.

The Minister was accompanied by Director General Health Services Kashmir, Dr Saleem ur Rehman and Project Director JKSACS, Dr Mushtaq Pathan. The Director General apprised the Minister about the level of health care services in terms of various specialties being provided to the patients. The Minister expressed satisfaction about the work and conduct of the Hospital.

Later the Minister took detailed review of Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2018 where in the Director General briefed him about the ongoing arrangements. The Minister laid stress for providing all necessary health care facilities to the pilgrims which is going to commence from 28th July.
