MLA Uri expresses sympathies with fire victims  

Baramulla: A double story residential house was gutted when fire broke  at Uranbowa village of Uri town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An eyewitness said that the two story residential house of Abdul Rashid Mir was gutted in the fire.

There was no loss of life in the incident, however, property worth lakhs was damaged in the incident, locals said.

Local reports suggested that the fire occurred due to an electric short circuit.

Meanwhile, police said that a report has been registered in this regard.

Fire tenders from Baramulla and Uri could not reached on time resulting into complete destruction of the house.

MLA  Uri, Mohammad Shafi Uri and National Conference leader and  representative of MLA Uri, Dr Sajad Shafi Uri have expressed their sympathies with effected families.

Both urged administration to ensure adequate compensation to the victims of this tragedy besides providing them all necessary relief and rehabilitation items at an earliest.

Meanwhile fire broke out in a residential house at Model town area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district this evening.

Locals said that fire broke out at Model Town A in the residential house of Bashir Ahmed.
