 Real Kashmir FC all set for final round

Srinagar May 23: Real Kashmir Football Club will battle it out with ozone Football club on Thursday in the first match of I league second division final round in PSV Arena in Bangalore.

Stakes will be high for Real Kashmir FC in the round as they will like to continue their unbeaten streak. RKFC finished toppers in the first round with 22 points and qualified for final around along with Bangalore based club Ozone FC, Manipur side TRAU (Tiddam Road Athletic Union) and Delhi based club Hindustan FC.

Winner of the final round will get promotion to top tier of I league. So for no team from Kashmir has qualified for premier division of I league. Earlier Lone star Kashmir FC in 2015 season missed by a whisker to qualify for I league as they finished runners up in final round of I League second division.

Speaking to The ‘Kashmir Images’ from Bangalore Head Coach of RKFC, David Robertson said, “We have​ been training the players rigorously from last couple of days. This round is very challenging. We are all set for our first match with Ozone FC. Ozone FC has got little advantage as they are going to play in home city. We will play for three points.”

Talking about all the three opponents in the final David Robertson said, “We have not played with Ozone FC and TRAU in competitive matches. We are watching their videos and analyzing their playing tactics. Ozone FC is physically strong and TRAU have got good pace and they are tactically sound. We have played with Hindustan FC in first round. They are more experienced.”

“Every team is different. We are not going to take any team easily.”He added.

About the squad of RKFC David said, “We have got two foreign players Loveday and Bernard, they are doing very good. Danish Farooq and Ritwik Das are playing excellent in midfield. Nadong is also fit now. All players have given their best so for. And, we will continue our good performance. ”

“There is no chance for come back in this round. I have belief in my team and we aim to qualify for I league” He added.

Pertinently, Real Kashmir FC will face TRAU and Hindustan FC on 27th and 30th May in second and third match in PSV Arena Bangaluru.
