Srinagar: With a view to improve the standards of education towards the deprived segments of society and orphans of Kelam region, the Army, on the request of Aukaf Board Kelam, went ahead to adopt Hanfia Middle School.
A defense spokesman, in a statement issued here said that the school which is mostly subscribed by poor children including orphans is deprived of regular financial assistance from the Aukaf Committee.
A special event was organised in which Bench, Tables, Computers, Stationary and Sports items were distributed. On this occasion, the Army officials interacted with the students and stressed on the importance of education and motivated them to work hard to achieve success in future. The event witnessed huge attendance and was highly appreciated by the Aukaf Board President, School Headmaster, teaching staff and locals.
