Army provides motorised wheelchair to accident victim

Srinagar: The army has provided a motorised wheelchair to an accident victim whose lower body had suffered permanent paralysis.

Shirazaa Nazeer had met with an accident sustaining severe injuries to her back and lower limbs. To enable her to perform her daily chores smoothly and independently, the Army presented Shirazaa Nazeer with a motorised wheelchair.

A defense spokesman in a statement said that in keeping with the true essence of the pious month of Ramzan, the wheelchair was presented in a ceremony in the presence of Army officials and local dignitaries besides family of the beneficiary.

The smile of gratitude on Shirazaa and her family’s faces after receiving the wheelchair was worth the effort,” the spokesman said.
