Srinagar, May 16: Refuted reports about the disappearance of a lawyer, police today said that he was being detained at Sub Jail Baramulla under orders from a competent magistrate.
“This is in response to news item published in some newspapers purportedly on High Court Bar Association statement about so-called missing of a lawyer. It’s hereby clarified that said lawyer has been detained in Sub Jail Baramulla under orders from a competent magistrate,” police spokesperson said in a statement today.
Elaborating about the arrest of the lawyer, he said, the subject in question (said lawyer) was called to Police Station Kreeri Baramulla and was bound down by magistrate. “Police has sufficient ground for this action keeping records and materials available with us.
