Star cc Ompora beats Adipora cc by 11 runs

Sopore: In the ongoing ‘WPL 2018’, Star CC Ompora defeated Adipora CC by 11 runs. Earlier, Adipora CC opted to bat first after winning the toss but the decision proved to be futile as Adipora CC was bundled on paltry 115 runs. Afroz (32) and Mohammad Shafi (12) runs remained the key scorers as Adipora CC set target of 116 runs for the opposition.

For Star CC Ompora, Imtiyaz Malla and Zahid Dar picked 3 wickets each.

In reply, Adipora CC was restricted on 115 which resulted in a tie and the match progressed to a super over. Asim didn’t get any support from other batsmen as he scored 65 runs.

Super-Over:

In the Super-Over, Star CC Ompora lost a wicket on the very first ball before Imtiyaz Malla pounded three massive sixes as they managed to score 22 runs in the super over. In reply, Adipora CC managed to score only 11 runs hence losing the match by 11 runs.

Imtiyaz Malla was declared as man of the match for his all round performance as he took 3 wickets and scored 26 valuable runs.
