Sopore: The 40 over Cricket tournament at Seer Sopore under the banner of Jammu Kashmir Cricket Association kicked off today at Seer Sopore Sports field under the supervision of one of the north Kashmir’s JKCA selector today here.
After winning the toss Legend’s Sopore skipper opted to bat first and were bundled out for 93 runs in 19.1 overs. Amir was highest scorer for Legends Sopore with 35 runs while Azhar added 14 runs. Mehraj bowled superbly and took 5 wickets for Marazigund while Waqar scalped 3 wickets.
In reply, Marazigund chased down the two figure target of 94 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Amir played a superlative knock of 25 runs while Amir Mir added 21 runs for Marazigund. Mushtaq Ahmad and Murtaza Baba took 2 wickets each for Legends Sopore .Mehraj was declared as player of the match for his splendid bowling figures with 5 wickets
