Srinagar: Police in Baramulla has arrested four militants and a few Over Ground Workers (OGWs) during raids in different areas of the district.

Police sources said that the two of the arrested militants were directly involved in the killing of three Baramulla youth on April 30th.

Police sources further said that remaining two arrested militants too were involved in the ‘murder conspiracy.’

They said that all the four are affiliated with Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant outfit.

The sources said that nearly six OGWs too have been arrested.

They said that following the killing of three youth in cold blood, Police launched an information gathering operation which culminated with the arrest of the militants.

Unidentified gunmen had on April 30 killed three youth at Iqbal Market in old town Baramulla.

The slain persons were identified as Asger Sheikh, Haseeb Khan and Asif Sheikh.

Police, at that time had said that preliminary investigation reveals complicity of LeT in the case.
