Special training under Skill Development Programme begins at DPL Srinagar

Srinagar, May 04: Special training under Skill Development Programme of Government of India through J&K Police for unemployed youth as a pilot project has been started in the initial stage in District Srinagar in two fields, which include General Duty Assistant and Lab Technician in medical division. Sofar, 120 students have been registered who will be undergoing aforesaid training.

In order to review the progress of such courses, special representatives of Government of India visited DPL Srinagar which includes member Parliament Dr. Sumaya (Chairperson Skill Development Programme under Udaan project.), Ajay Kumar (Secretary Skill Development Corporation India) and Khekheshan (Mission Director Udaan J&K).

During the interactive session, SSP Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail Parray told  trainees about the essence of the special training courses for imparting training to the unemployed & unskilled youth of  District Srinagar and further providing them platform to avail job opportunities in private sector.

The trainees gave remarkable response and feedback about the quality of training and also appreciated the initiative of J&K Police in this regard. Once these three month courses are completed, J&K Police holds endeavor to organize such training courses in days to come in other fields also.

Subsequently training kits were distributed among the trainees and the programme ended with vote of thanks.

Other dignitaries who attended the programme includes SSP Hq Srinagar Khalil Poswal, DySP DAR Srinagar Feroz Qadri and coordinator for skill development courses Mohd Anwar Khan.
