Teachers have exceptional abilities, should imbibe these in the students: Secy Edu

Srinagar: Terming sports and other activities necessary for better development of students, Secretary Education Farooq Ahmad Shah has said that our teaching fraternity can play a vital role in harnessing their abilities to help make the future of students bright.

He expressed these views while touring various schools of District Baramulla along with Director School Education Kashmir Dr. G.N. Itoo. They visited many schools including Primary School Qazipora, High School Ferozpora, High School Hardmaadam and Higher Secondary School Kunzar.

Taking stock of the basic infrastructure, computers, laboratory and other facilities in these schools, Secretary Education said that during the current year the department will make sure the strengthening of basic infrastructure and providing laboratory facilities in the schools.

Terming the students as a guarantee of a bright future Secretary Education stressed upon all the teachers to start door to door drive for the increase of enrolment of students in the schools. He said that our department has teachers with exceptional abilities and it is expected from them to imbibe these qualities into their students.

Referring about the recent engagement of 1463 temporary contractual teachers in Kashmir Division, he said that the Department is committed to provide sufficient staff to every nook and corner of the State to provide quality Education to the students.

During the tour Secretary Education also attended a prize distribution ceremony at Army Goodwill School Tangmarg during which he said that our students are very talented and the only need is to harness their talent.
