Al-Jamal, Kashmir Lions register wins

SRINAGAR: Al-Jamal and Kashmir Lions registered wins after tough fight from opponents in matches played on the fifth day of ongoing Kashmir Narbal Premier League (KNPL). In first match of the day, Al-Jamal defeated Ghat Warriors by 1 run here at Narbal cricket ground. Earlier, Al-Jamal elected to bat first after winning the toss and posted 184 runs on board in allotted 20 overs. Lateef with 85 runs was the notable scorer for Al-Jamal.

In reply, the Ghat Warriors could not achieve the required target and loss the close tackle with only 1 run needed. Adil Bina’s dazzling inning of 99 runs went in vain as he could not help his team to win the game.

In second match of the day, Prime Spartans locked horns with Kashmir Lions Narbal. Prime Spartans who opted to bat first were restricted on 140 runs. Skipper Salam remained the top-scorer with 28 runs whereas for Kashmir Lions, Nazir Tiger and Muzamil Rashid picked 2 wickets each.

In reply, Kashmir Lions finished the game in style, with 4 overs to spare and won the match by 5 wickets. Nazir Tiger was highest scorer with quick 54 runs and was adjudged as man of the match.
