Kirmani Kings, Super Giants emerge victorious on day 4 of KNPL

SRINAGAR: Kirmani Kings Lawapora and Super Giants Gotapora emerged victorious after exceptional performances in the matches played on the fourth day of ongoing ‘Kashmir Narbal Premier League’ (KNPL) on Tuesday.

In the first match of the day, Kirmani Kings locked horns with Bhat Badshahs at Narbal cricket ground.  Bhat Badshahs won the toss and elected to bat first. The team posted 125 runs on board in 20 allotted overs. Showkat Ahmad with 38 runs was the highest scorer for the Bhat Badshahs. For Kirmani Kings, Sahil took four wickets giving away 17 runs in his quota of four overs.

In reply, Kirmani Kings achieved the set target with 5 balls and 3 wickets to spare. Babbar Suhail was highest scorer with 39 runs. For his spell of four wickets, Sahil was adjudged as man of the match.

In second match of the day, Super Giants Gotapora defeated Bazar Badshahs Narbal. Earlier, Bazar Badshahs won the toss and elected to bat first. The team was bundled out by Super Giants bowlers for only 108 runs with Showkat (25) remaining the highest scorer. For Super Giants, skipper Shahid Hassan bagged three wickets while as Mehrajudin picked up a couple of wickets as well.

In reply, Super Giants achieved the target in 16 overs and lost five wickets in the chase. For the winning team, Syed Taha scored 33 runs while as Mehrajudin added 27 runs. Mehrajudin was adjudged as man of the match for his all-round performance.
