Students stages protest in Kangan

Srinagar, Apr 26: The students of Government Higher Secondary School Ganiwan, Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday held a protest demonstration on Srinagar-Leh highway demanding justice for the eight-year-old minor who was raped and murdered in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Scores of students assembled on Srinagar-Leh highway at Ganiwan shouting slogans in favour of Kathua minor demanding capital punishment for the accused.

“We want an exemplary punishment to the culprits so that no one in future dares to commit such a heinous crime,” said protesting students.
