Tangmarg, April 26: In the inaugural match of ‘Gulmarg Premier League’, Mahayan-XI thrashed Tangmarg Victorious by 4 wickets. Earlier, Tangmarg Victorious skipper Javid opted to bat first after winning the toss but the decision proved to be futile as Tangmarg Victorious batsmen felt helpless before the disciplined bowling attack of Mahayan-XI. Tanveer and Irfan spearheaded the bowling attack providing inroads from the very first over. Parvaiz of Mahayan-XI picked up 5 wickets conceding only 14 runs in his spell of 4 overs. Tangmarg Victorious was bundled for 114 runs and were all-out in 19th over.
In reply, Mahayan-XI suffered 3 early blows before Nadeem and Irfan lined important partnership of 30 runs. Both the batsmen fell in successive overs before Parvaiz was joined by Fayaz as the duo finished the match with 9 balls to spare. Parvaiz was adjudged as man of the match for his all-round performance as he picked up 5 wickets and also scored 29* runs.
