Palhallan, Wednesday 25:  Sheikh-ul-Alam Cricket Club flayed FCC Baramulla in a low scoring but engrossing match in the ongoing ‘Prince Memorial Invitational Cricket Tournament’ played here at Palhallan. Earlier, FCC Baramulla opted to bat first after winning the toss but the decision proved to be futile as FCC Baramulla were bowled out for paltry 62 runs. Tariq remained the top-scorer with 15 runs against his name whereas for Sheikh-ul-Alam Cricket Club, Shareef ripped in through the batting line of FCC Baramulla picking up 4 wickets. Chasing stingy 63 runs, Sheikh-ul-Alam Cricket Club started off very poorly as Zahoor of FCC Baramulla picked up hat-trick in the very first over. Zahoor ended his spell picking five-fer and conceded just 5 runs and was well supported by other bowlers as well. As Sheikh-ul-Alam Cricket Club batsmen fell like a pack of cards, the momentum of the game shifted towards FCC Baramulla till Waseem came into bat at number ten. Waseem held his nerve high and scored match winning 20 runs and secured win for his team, earning him the man of the match award as well.
