Srinagar, Apr 25: A man died after a poplar tree fell on his car in Shadipora area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday.
A police official said that Ghulam Mohammad Khan, a resident of Narbal in Budgam district, died on the spot after the tree fell on his car (JK01R-3736).
He said that the incident happened when some persons were felling trees in the area.
“Police station Shadipora Ganderbal has lodged an FIR against the negligence of tree-cutters and started an investigation into the matter,” he said.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been handed over to his family for last rites.
