FC HUDD reviews Srinagar Smart City Project

SRINAGAR, APRIL 24: Financial Commissioner, Housing and Urban Development Department K B Agarwal chaired Srinagar Smart City Limited meeting here today.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Srinagar Smart City, Dr Farooq Lone, Inspector General of Police Kashmir range, S P Pani, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed, Vice Chairman Srinagar Development Authority, A. M. Raina, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Srinagar Riyaz Ahmad Wani and Assistant Director Archives and Museums besides other senior officers.

Financial Commissioner, H&UDD said that implementation of the Smart city project should aim at value addition of Srinagar as a global tourist destination.

During the meeting, various decisions regarding implementation of various projects under the convergence mode of Srinagar Smart city project were also discussed.

He stressed on prioritizing strengthening of existing sewerage system and minimizing of solid waste generation in the city.

It is pertinent to mention that the Srinagar Smart City Limited is a special purpose vehicle constituted by the state government for implementation of smart city mission in Srinagar city.
