GANDERBAL, APRIL 22:- Minister for Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction and Floriculture, Javaid Mustafa Mir who today took an extensive tour of the Ganderbal District during which he inspected various ongoing development projects and passed on directions to the executing agencies for timely completion of the projects.

The Minister was accompanied by Vice Chancellor, Central University Kashmir; District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Dr Piyush Singla,  SSP Ganderbal, Deputy General Manager JKPCC, concerned engineers and officers.

The Minister inspected ongoing work of new 200 bedded District Hospital Ganderbal which is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 52.56 crore. The Minister went around various blocks of the hospital and was informed that Rs 39.80 crore have so for been expended on the execution of the hospital.

The Minister also inspected construction work of Central University Kashmir, Ganderbal and was informed that out of estimate cost of Rs 22.83 crore, Rs19.74 crore have been expended till date.

Javaid Mustafa Mir also took stock of various other ongoing development projects which include Government College for Engineering and Technology, Safapora. During the inspection of the construction of the college, the Minister was informed that over Rs 16 crore have so for been spent on the execution of the college building out of estimate cost of Rs 26 crore .

Speaking on the occasion the Minister directed Executing Agencies to speed up the Developmental tempo and ensure timely completion of all ongoing projects. He also directed them to take utmost care of the quality of these prestigious projects. He also asked DDC Ganderbal and other concerned Heads to monitor the progress of these projects.

During the tour, many public deputations called on the Minister and apprised him of their problems. The Minister heard them patiently and assured them that their genuine problems will get due attention from the administration. He directed concerned Officers on the spot for timely disposal of their cases.
