SRINAGAR, APRIL 22: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice Abdul Haq Khan and MLC Zafar Iqbal Manhas Sunday released a Paharai Novel “Tut’ei Cha’an” in a function organised at the auditorium of JK Academy of Art Culture and Languages.

The Novel has been authored by a popular Pahari writer Parvez Manoos and the function was organised by Pahari Cultural Club Karnah. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Abdul Haq said the government is committed to uplift all regional languages and dialects and all necessary steps are being taken in this regard. He appreciated the role of Pahari writers for keeping the language alive. He said it is because of these writers that the language is flourishing and there is a hope that the language will not extinct unless such writers are not there. He said the young writers. He said the government would make efforts to put the development of Pahari speaking community into focus.

MLC Zafar Iqbal Manhas also spoke on the occasion and praised the efforts of the government in uplifting the  pahari language and the community. He also praised the young writers for taking keen interest in Pahari language.

On the occasion writer Moulvi Shabir Ahmad Khan Shamas presented book review on “Tut’ei Cha’an”.  Chief Organiser, Pahari Cultural Club Karnah, Naeem Karnai presented the welcome address and vote of thanks.
