“I assure my leadership that I will work with dedication and commitment, with my full potential, to come up to the expectations of the party”, she said and added it is vision of our  Chief Minister that women are equal stakeholders in peace and nation building initiatives.

“Women are the worst victims of conflict and turmoil so their participation and role is more important in the process to establish sustainable peace”, she observed and exuded confidence that under the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti lasting peace would be established in this region.

She said that no society and no country can prosper if the women are left out from policy making and decision making.

“Our Chief Minister is convinced about women’s potential to change the situation for the good of the society and therefore wants participation of women in all spheres of life be that political, economical or social,” Safina said.

Women of the state particularly of Kashmir Valley have stakes in peace and therefore should be a vibrant constituent of the peace process, said Safina.

“Being workers of PDP it is our responsibility to frustrate designs of those forces which are hell bent to create disturbance in the State by raking up emotions of the people,” she said.

“I take this opportunity to convey to my sisters that there are so many doors open for resolving issues but violence is not one of them,” she stressed, adding, “Let we as women take a lead for the sole motive of saving our children.”

Safina Beig announced that constituency wise conventions would be held very soon in all parts of the state in which genuine concerns of the womenfolk would be addressed. She said that genuine grievances of women would be brought to the notice of Chief Minister.
