Shopian: Efforts of police and community led to the recovery of a 12 bore which was forcibly taken by some miscreants today at 3 pm from a private guard of the J&K Bank Branch Pinjura Shopian, a police spokesman said.
On the basis of information developed by police, boys involved were contacted through parents and senior citizens of the area.
The said gun was recovered though boys were let off after proper counseling, added the spokesman.
Earlier, a group of unarmed men snatched a 12 bore rifle from the ATM guard in the Pinjoora area of Shopian, a police official said.
He said the ATM belonged to the Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
