DC B’la finalizes SSB exam arrangements

BARAMULLA, APRIL 16: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash today chaired a meeting here to finalize the arrangements put in place for the smooth conduct of forthcoming Services Selection Board (SSB) examinations scheduled from April 21 in the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Farooq Ahmad Baba, SP Baramulla Shafqat Hussain, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Chief Education Officer, representatives of JKSSB, Exam Observers, District heads of different departments and educational institutions where the examination centres have been fixed.

It was informed that a total of 11355 candidates are appearing for different posts in about 31 centres across the district.

Threadbare discussion was held with regarding the posting of staff, examination observers, seating and accommodation arrangements and other necessary facilities. Flying squads were also constituted for the smooth conduct of the examinations.

Moreover, all the candidates appearing in the examinations were asked not to bring mobile phones or other electronic gadgets with them which are strictly prohibited even in the centre premises.

The DC emphasized upon the concerned to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations besides directing the officers to deploy sufficient staff at the centres and for the transportation of examination material. It was also said that section 144 of CrPC shall also remain in effect around exam the centres.
