Srinagar, April 15: SSP Shopian Ambarkar Shriram Dinkar addressed the darbar of officers/officials of district police Shopian. Police personnel including police components of Shopian  participated in the darbar.

At the outset, SSP Shopian directed the officers and jawans to exercise maximum restraint while dealing with law and order problems . He stressed upon expediting the mass contact efforts to strengthen the relations between police and public . While speaking during the darbar, SSP Shopian briefed the participants about the future challenges before the police  and duties and responsibilities of the police to tackle them.

SSP Shopian emphasized upon officers and jawans to maintain strict discipline while performing their duties. He also stressed for maximum coordination with other sister agencies like Army and CRPF during anti-militancy operations and law and order problems while strictly adhereing to the SOPs. He also appreciated the resolve and commitment of Shopian police to fight militancy, drug menace and other social evils in the society.

In the end, SSP  Shopian heard the grievances and problems being faced by the officers and jawans patiently. He assured the officers and jawans that their grievances and problems will be addressed at the earliest and necessary instructions were passed on spot.

ASP Shopian, DySP DAR Shopian, DySP Hqrs Shopian, DySP (Ops) of Keller, Zainpora and Imam Sahab were also present on the occasion.
