PDP pays tributes to Ambedkar

Jammu,  April 14:   Peoples Democratic party has paid glowing tributes to Founding Father of Indian Constitution, Bharat Rattan, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 127th birth anniversary today, a press release issued here said.

The press release further added that in a function to commemorate the ‘great contribution’ of Baba Saheb Ambedkar for ‘upliftment and welfare’ of poor and ‘downtrodden’ people in India, the Party General Secretary Ved Mahajan has said Baba Saheb led millions of the oppressed to a life of self-respect, dignity and responsibility and has showed them a path which not only led to their development but also the development of India.

Mahajan said that the biggest tribute to Bharat Rattan Baba Saheb Dr. B R Ambedkar would be to realize his dreams and vision of a strong democracy to ensure equality for all.

He said Dr Ambedkar fought against caste system and worked for equality among people irrespective of their caste, creed, colour and religion. Terming  Dr Ambedkar a great socialist and a thinker ahead of his time. Mahajn highlighted the contribution of architect of Indian Constitution and described him as a leader of poor   who struggled for their cause, the press release added.
