SRINAGAR, APRIL 14: Department of Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) today paid homage to its personnel who laid their lives while saving the life and property of the public.
Observing the Fire Service Week from today, Deputy Director Bashir Ahmad Shah and other officers laid the wreaths on ‘Martyrs Column’.
Speaking on the occasion, Shah impressed upon Fire Service personnel to work hard and arrange awareness programmes during Fire Service Week which will culminate on April 20. He also asked for organizing mock exercises in schools, colleges and other establishments, so as to minimize the losses caused due to fire
A two-minute silence was also observed to remember those who laid their lives while delivering their duties.
