Spontaneous bandh observed in north Kashmir areas

BARAMULLA: A complete shutdown was observed in many areas of the, north Kashmir against the killing of four civilians in Khudwani village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.

According to reports, a shutdown was observed today in all three districts, Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora of north Kashmir.

All shops and other commercial establishments were closed while less movement of traffic was on roads.

It is pertinent to mention here, no separatist or militant outfit has called for a strike today. However, the separatist leadership had urged people to hold peaceful protests after congregational Friday prayers.
