Sopore: Students of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir (SKUAST-K) today staged strong protest demonstration against civilian killings in South Kashmir at North campus Wadoora Sopore in Baramulla district.

Witnesses said that large number of students staged protest inside Campus and raised pro freedom slogans demanding stern action against the killers.

“We are protesting today against the innocent civilian killings as our innocent brothers were killed in Kulgam and Shopian and present government should take necessary step to stop these killings,” protesting students said, adding, if government won’t stop civilian killings, it be ready for a war.

Holding placards and banners, the protesting students chanted slogans in favor of freedom, militant commanders, Hurriyat and also raised anti-India and anti-government slogans.

Calling for an end to the killings in Kashmir, the students chanted slogans in favor of freedom also.

Protests rock a Kashmir valley yesterday against the civilian killings in Kulgam, forcing the authorities to close down schools and colleges today.
