Srinagar: Following the outrage on Indian TV channels and social media, sources said, Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti may be constrained to sack two of her cabinet colleagues, Chander Prakash Ganga and Lal Singh.

Sources said that these two ministers had publicly sided with the accused rapists and murderers in Kathua case.

Sources said that one of the two ministers, who earlier was in Congress, is supposed to be the one who wanted to give a communal colour to the incident.

“It is all about land grabbing and land mafia. One of the ministers in Mehbooba’s Cabinet is heading a big land mafia,” said sources.

“It is not a simple rape and murder case,” said sources, adding, it is an attempt to scare, frighten and drag these nomads (Bakerwals) out of the area. And some ministers are deeply involved in it,” said sources.

Following these revelations, sources said, Mehbooba is contemplating sacking of these two ministers.

“She can’t do it. It is a coalition government. She has to take partners on board, and they may not agree,” sources said.

However, sources said that if Delhi (BJP) agrees, the two ministers could be sacked.
