DDC Ganderbal reviews progress of Z-Mohr tunnel

GANDERBAL, APRIL 11: – District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla today chaired a meeting to review the progress of Z- MORH tunnel.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ganderbal, SDM Kangan, Ex En R&B Ganderbal, Tehsildar Gund, Project Manager APCO Infratech Pvt. Ltd, Project Manager SSTL and other concerned officers.

During the meeting, DDC held detailed discussions with the concerned departments on the issues related to Z-MORH tunnel. A threadbare discussion was held on the issues like land acquisition issue, land compensation issue, removal of trees and structures, Muck disposal and several other issues.

It was given out at the meeting that the 6.5 km long Z-MORH tunnel will ensure all-weather connectivity of the famous tourist spot and will be a step forward for easing traffic movement towards the Ladakh division.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC asked the executing agency of the Z-MORH tunnel to sort out all the issues immediately that are becoming hurdle with regard to the smooth construction work of this vital tunnel, so that the work goes on smoothly and there is no further delay in the work.

DDC also stressed upon the officers to be proactive and ensure that the project is completed within the stipulated time.
