JKLF holds demonstrations in London UK against Indian oppression in Kashmir
Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) staged a protest outside Indian High Commission in London today against the human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement, a JKLF spokesperson said that the protest was held against brutalities of Indian forces in Jammu Kashmir and particularly against killings in south Kashmir district of Shopian, where more than two dozen innocent people were killed and over two hundred people seriously injured.
“Hundreds of protesters including women and children chanted slogans for complete freedom of Jammu Kashmir and withdrawal of occupying forces from the state,” the spokesman said.
Protestors asked the international community to intervene and save lives of innocent people of Jammu Kashmir, and help secure justice for victims of Shopian massacre.
“Protesters also appealed United Nations to send fact finding mission to Indian held Jammu Kashmir to highlight the barbaric face of India and its forces in Jammu Kashmir,” said the spokesman.
Meanwhile, the spokesman said, JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has paid rich tributes to Gowhar Amin Bahadur of Batamaloo who was martyred in 1993 by BSF in custody.
