DC Kulgam reviews Me’raj-ul-Alam arrangements

KULGAM, APRIL 10: The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Sajad Hussain Ganie today convened a meeting to take stock of arrangements put in place for Meraj-ul-Aalam being celebrated on April 13.

The meeting held threadbare discussions for smooth conduct of the auspicious festival to ensure that devotees are provided better facilities at various shrines in Kulgam especially at Hazrat Syed Simnania shrine, Noor Shah Baghdad Kund, Sheikul-Alam Shrine at Chimmer, Sadder Mooj Shrine Qaimoh were a large number of devotees are expected to pay their obeisance.

Arrangements including the supply of drinking water, electricity and cleanliness and illumination in and around the shrines, mosques besides medical facilities, adequate transport and parking facility, fire tenders, establishing emergency control rooms were finalized in the meeting.

The DC stressed on the concerned officers to work in coordination and called for making arrangements well in advance so that devotees won’t face any inconvenience for the want of basic facilities.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, ADC, Superintendent Engineer PDD, ASP, Executive Officers of Municipal committees of Kulgam, Devsar, Frisal, Yaripora, CMO, CEO, and representatives of different Auqaf committees of the district.
