DDC Anantnag reviews progress of works under SBM

ANANTNAG, APRIL 07: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today chaired a meeting to review progress of various works being executed under Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) in the district.

The meeting aimed to sensitize the Rural Development Department officers for accelerating the efforts of making the district Open Defecation Free (ODF).

It was said that under the Mission 100% target has been achieved in the blocks of Anantnag, Bijbehara, Dochnipora, Qazigund and Vessu and progress in other blocks is satisfactory and expected to be completed by April 10, 2018.

The DDC stressed upon the BDOs to gear up the field functionaries at the grass root level and focus on baseline survey to achieve the set targets. He directed the concerned to work in coordination and devise viable strategies to achieve the target within the stipulated time period.

The meeting was also attended by ADDC Anantnag, ACD Anantnag, and concerned BDOs of the district.
