JAMMU, APRIL 4: Chief Secretary, B B Vyas Wednesday chaired the 8th Apex Committee meeting here to review the progress of Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) Project.
Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), USBRL Project, Commissioner/Secretary Revenue, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Secretary (Technical) Forest Department, Deputy Commissioners of Reasi & Ramban and other senior officers of the State Government and Railways were present in the meeting. Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir participated in the meeting through video conferencing
The latest status in regard to land acquisition and forest clearance in various sections of the Katra-Banihal Rail line in Reasi and Ramban districts and 132 KV Transmission Line from Katra to Reasi, Ramban to Sangaldan and Budgam GSS to Budgam Railway Traction Sub-Station was reviewed in the meeting.
Chief Secretary noted with satisfaction the progress achieved in resolution of bottlenecks and asked the Revenue authorities and Forest Department to expedite the proceedings in regard to few remaining land and forest clearance issues.
