Srinagar April 2:  Lashing out at ruling dispensation for failing to address people’s problems living in remote areas in Uri and elsewhere in the State, Senior Congress leader and former minister Taj Mohi U Din today expressed serious concern over the difficulties confronting people, describing the ruling dispensation as anti-people.

He was addressing a largely attended public meeting at Gawalan Uri in District Baramulla, which is very near to Line of Control.

Addressing the gathering, Taj Mohi U Din expressed surprise over the attitude of the Govt towards the people of Gawalan Uri, which is a remotest place, saying the developmental works started earlier in the village have come to a standstill.

Lack of medical facilities, dilapidated condition of roads, shortage of electricity and other essentials have made the lives of people miserable, he said, adding, even the funds for construction of toilets under SWACH Bharat mission were not being released.

He said Govt has no policy for the development of people living in far off places. “There are numerous unresolved problems concerning people but no heed is being paid towards these,” he said.
