“I met the Union Minister for Roads, Transport and Highways and sought the four-laning of the Humhama-Budgam road and submitted a project detailing the proposal. Budgam District has a huge tourism potential that is largely untapped and a better road access from Humhama would not only improve the tourism prospects but also connect Budgam to Srinagar in a better and more efficient way thereby increasing trade efficiency and boosting the economy of both the Districts”, Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi said.

The Union Minister assured Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi that the project would be taken up under the Central Road Fund (CRF) at the earliest possible instance.
