SRINAGAR: Scores of Anganwadi workers and helpers held a protest march and a sit-in at Regal Chowk today pressing for the fulfillment of their demands.
Raising anti-establishment slogans, the protesting workers demanded hike in their monthly honorarium and release of their long pending salaries.
Due to the protests, the traffic on Residency Road was disrupted for some time.
The Anganwadi workers threatened to go on hunger strike from 1st of April if their demands were not met.
