Amateur Sports Club thrash SSC Sopore by 7 wickets

Blue Star Safapora whip KGI in a last ball thriller

Sopore, March 28: In the ongoing ‘Wular Premier League’, Amateur Sports Club Sopore (ASC) registered an emphatic win over Sopore Sports Club (SSC) as the former won the match by 7 wickets. SSC decided to bat first after winning the toss and posted respectable total of 161 runs. Skipper SSC Mohammad Yousuf Gabroo scored fifty and Zubair added 32 runs while as for ASC, Irfan and Muneer bagged 2 wickets each.

In reply Amateur Sports Club chased down the target of 162 runs as Adil (60*) and Imran (46) paved the way for ASC’s win. ASC won by 7 wickets and Adil was declared as man of the match.

Match 2:

The second match of the day was played between Blue Star Safapora and KGI. Blue Star Safapora managed to beat KGI in a last ball thriller with only 1 wicket remaining.  For Blue Star Safapora, Ishfaq played a brilliant knock of 52 runs and Waseem added useful 35 runs as well. For KGI, Ayaz and Imran picked up 2 wickets each. Ishfaq was declared as man of the match for his brilliant all-round performance scoring 52 runs and picked up 3 wickets as well.
