KVK-G’bal Kick starts Chinar Plantation Drive

Ganderbal: Krishi Vigya Kendra-Ganderbal today kick started chinar plantation drive at New Dream and Educational Institute (NDEI), Ganderbal.

The drive was today started with the plantation of chinar sapling by Deputy Chief Education Officer, Ganderbal, Sheikh Gayas-Ud-Din.

On the occasion a brief lecture on importance of planting trees particularly chinar to save environment from excessive pollution was delivered to the students by scientists of the KVK.

According to programme coordinator KVK-Ganderbal, Dr Javid Ahmad Bhat, the chinar plantation drive was formally started from the local school to sensitize our new generation about environmental protection and role of chinar in purifying the increasing pollution of our environment.

“The drive will continue and several such programmes will be held across the district” Bhat added.
