Artisans awareness camp held at Baramulla

BARAMULLA,MARCH,27:- Additional Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla Farooq Ahmad Baba today inaugurated an awareness Cum Registration camp organized by the Handicrafts department at Sheerwani hall Baramulla in which huge gathering of artisans participated.

The ADC who was the chief guest on the occasion highlighted the role of Handicrafts department in imparting to training to the people of rural areas aimed at generating self-employment.

He also urged the artisans to avail the benefits of schemes run by the department. He emphasized upon them to avail artisans credit card scheme from the banks to boost their business, He asserted that banks should adopt the beneficiary friendly approach and ensure processing  of the sponsored cases in a time-bound manner.

He said handicrafts industry of the state has vital importance in the economic development of the state.

AD Handicrafts Baramulla, Lead Bank officer Muneer Ahmad and officers from various departments were present in the camp.
