600 job seekers, representatives of 12 leading companies participate

JAMMU, MARCH 26: Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu, Suraiya Jabeen, inaugurated one-day ‘Job Fair-2018’ organised by the Department of Employment here today.

The aim of the Fair was to create awareness among the unemployed educated youth about the job opportunities in private sector.

As many as, 600 youth and representatives of 12 leading companies from private sector participated in the ‘Job Fair’.

Urging upon the unemployed educated youth not to depend on government jobs only, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, stressed upon them to explore avenues in  private sector and prove their mettle by working in leading companies of the country. She stressed upon the youth to come forward and avail opportunities from such programmes and explore alternative ventures particularly in the private sector which has an immense scope of absorption to tackle the unemployment issue to a great extent directly.

On the occasion, Deputy Director Employment, Jammu, Rajeev Magotra, asked the youth to contact Employment and Counselling Centres for any assistance.
