Bukhari expresses concern over axing of Fruit Trees in SKUAST’s Wadoora Campus
Asks Horticulture Minister to intervene to save the Heritage Orchard
JAMMU, MARCH 23: Minister for Education and Finance, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Friday expressed deep concern over the indiscriminate felling of fruit trees at Wadoora campus of SKUAST.
The Minister while expressing concern over the axing of fruit bearing trees said the orchard at SKUAST campus Wadoora has Heritage value as the orchard is about a century old and is famous for its Pear fruits. He called for immediate halt on axing the fruit bearing trees.
The Minister requested Minister for Horticulture to kindly intervene in the matter to save the heritage orchard.
