Wreath-laying ceremonies held for slain cops in Kupwara, Srinagar

Srinagar, Mar 22: Wreath-laying ceremonies were held in Srinagar and Kupwara for the policemen killed in two-day long gunfight with militants in north Kashmir.

In a statement issued here, a police spokesperson said Member Parliament Fayaz Ahmad Mir led the police and security force officers in paying tributes to the slain policemen.

“Among others who paid tributes were SSP Kupwara Shamsher Husain, DySSP and other officers,” he said.

The spokesperson said that today morning, Inspector General of Police (IGP) S P Pani led the police and security forces officers in wreath laying ceremony on the mortal remains of SgCT Deepak Thusoo at District Police Lines Srinagar.
