Joint House Panel discusses issues related to Toshkhana

JAMMU, MARCH 22: A meeting of the Joint House Committee of legislature was held here today under the chairmanship of Member Legislative Council, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo to discuss the issues related to the Toshakhana, Jammu.

Legislators, Rani Gargi Blowria, Surinder Kumar Choudhary, S. Charanjeet Singh, Pawan Kumar Gupta, Thakur Balbir Singh and Ashok Khajuria Special Invitee attended the meeting.

The Committee, in the backdrop of its previous visits and deliberations sought several more clarifications with regard to the possession of Toshkhana and details of inventories of valuables lying there. It intended to have a spot visit to Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex and Civil Secretariat to inspect the Toshkhana items and called upon the concerned authorities to facilitate the same. Besides, the Committee also received status of available items of Toshkhana at Saddar Treasury Srinagar and Gupkar Road.

It was decided in the meeting that the Committee will visit to Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, Jammu on 9th of April, 2018.

The Toshkhana authorities (Dy. Commissioner, Jammu), Kumar Rajiv Ranjan, Additional Secretary in Chief Minister’s Office, Sushil Kumar and representative from Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Special Secretary Legislative Council, Mohammad Ashraf Wani and other senior officers of the Hospitality & Protocol Department the meeting.
