Guard foils bank robbery attempt

Shopian, Mar 22: Robbers made an unsuccessful bid to loot a bank in DK Pora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district last night.

An official said that a security guard of Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch in DK Pora raised an alarm after robbers tried to loot the bank.

The timely action by the guard who also fired few shots in air scared the burglars, he said.
