Jammu, Mar 22: Two youths were killed when their bike was hit by a vehicle in Rajouri district, police said today.

The accident occurred in Nowshera belt of the district last evening, they said.

The youths were shifted to GMC hospital in Jammu, where they succumbed to their injuries, police said, adding the deceased have been identified as Suresh and Rakesh.

Meanwhile, at least 16 students of a Nowshera school were injured in a road accident near Latair in Pouni area of Reasi district on Thursday, police said.

As per initial details, the students were heading towards Reasi for a picnic, said an official.

“The injured have been shifted to hospital while one girl is stuck in the vehicle and operation is on to rescue her,” said a report.
