Traffic Head constable killed in road mishap at Baramulla

Baramulla: In a tragic road accident, a traffic Head constable was killed after a speeding Sumo hit him at Kanispora on Srinagar-Muzzafar highway of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday afternoon.

Witness said that the traffic cop identified as head constable Mohammad Dilawar Mir son of Wali Mohammad of Zethan Rafiabad belt number was hit by a speedy sumo at Kanispora near JET College when he was doing his duty, however he was rushed to District Hospital Baramulla where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile officials in Police that in this regard has registered a case, however added that driver has been arrested while vehicle also seized.
