KUPWARA, MARCH 21: District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today conducted an extensive tour of the main town to take stock of various ongoing developmental works being executed by Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC).
During his visit, DDC inspected the progress of work on Rs 16 crore academic and administrative block for Women’s College at Salkoot. He was informed that 95 percent work has been completed on the first floor of the academic block and work is in progress on its remaining part and also on the administrative block.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to gear up the pace of work and ensure its completion by May 2018.
Later, the DDC also visited District Hospital Kupwara and inspected the progress of work on 100-bedded district hospital building which is in the final stages of its completion. He directed the CMO to speed up the pace of work and ensure its completion within the stipulated time.
Meanwhile, he also inspected the ongoing work on Lecturer Block in Government Boys Degree College Kupwara being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 5.40 crore. He directed the concerned to put in coordinated efforts for meeting the deadline fixed for the completion of the project.
