Srinagar, March 19: Budgam police organized a Police Public meeting in Khag area of the district which was chaired by SDPO Magam. SHO Khag and other officers were also present during the meeting.
A police spokesman in a statement said that a large number of respectable citizens of Khag and its adjoining areas and members of market association Khag attended the meeting.
During the meeting the chairing officer patiently heard the problems and issues of the participants. The challenges like drug menace and gambling which are ruining the generations were also raised, the spokesman said.
Some of the issues pertaining to police were resolved on the spot and other issues will be sent to civil administration for their early redressal.
The officers present in the meeting assured the people that the grievances will be redressed at an earliest and the war against drugs and gambling will continue by the J&K police. Moreover, the participants were requested to cooperate with the police to eradicate the problem of drug menace and gambling from root level.
The participants were assured that police is always for the welfare of public and will work for the safety and security of the people, their well-being and every sort of cooperation will be provided by the police for the betterment of society.
