Police lodges FIR against army
Srinagar, Mar 19: Police on Monday lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against an army-man for allegedly thrashing a teenager following an altercation during a cricket match in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official said that FIR No 21/18 under sections 341, 323, 506 RPC has been registered against the army-man.
Giving details, he said the accused “ruthlessly” thrashed Syed Danish (14), son of Sumander Hussain after the former had an altercation with another boy over an issue during a cricket match in Chulla village.
He identified the accused as Syed Gulzar, son of Syed Bagh Hussain of 4 JAKLI.
The minor boy, he said, was admitted at a nearby hospital for treatment.
